Building Your Personal Learning Network (PLN): What social media platforms do you use or plan to use to build your personal learning network (PLN)? How do platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit, or Youtube help you connect with others and stay updated?
For creating my own personal PLN, I would use Twitter, Facebook to create PLN. I learned from the materials that the professor posted that the PLN doesn’t require someone to respond to your tweet, or that you need a 1-to-1 solution pattern. Most of the time, you find a PLN that you need from videos, links, tweets that people don’t mean to tweet about you. But you can still get the PLN you want from it. So what I want to do is not only to post and update the content to find, but also to pay attention to the content of others in related fields to absorb the knowledge I want.

For professional and private social accounts, I think it is very necessary to distinguish between them. For example, on linkedin, I will publish or update some more formal photos and tweets. My private information is not suitable for sharing here, but it can be used for sharing on Facebook and Twitter. For example, I often post photos of my daily life on Facebook, including campus, food, shopping, etc. I will record them, but in other platforms, I will register with a very formal identity. I will put my life history, which school I am studying, and what major I am studying in my profile, and update some information about my major in time. To reach the right crowd.
Protecting Your Information and Ensuring Ethical Behaviour: How do you protect your information and ensure ethical behaviour in your PLN? Discuss any security measures you take to keep a safe and trustworthy digital environment.
First, sharing truthful, honest content that expresses one’s own opinions and values while being open to different points of view is the best way to face the public. Next, we should respond in a respectful and thoughtful way to comments, questions, and criticisms directed at ourselves. Acknowledge everyone’s different points of view and create a safe space for constructive dialogue. This shows that people value different opinions and are willing to engage in meaningful discussion. Finally, people need to be open to feedback and constantly learn from audience comments and reactions.
Privacy Concerns and Online Participation: Do/How do privacy concerns affect your willingness to join online communities or share information?
Participation in the media space can lead to intrusive inquiries about personal issues or expose individuals to unwanted attention that can affect work-life balance. As a trusted public figure, criticism can be intense and personal, which greatly influences the discussion in the participating community.
